Join us for a special Oshougatsu (New Years) Japanese Cooking Class as we prepare to celebrate the New Year. For our oshougatsu feast we will be preparing chikuzenni.

Chikuzenni (筑前煮) is a simmered chicken and vegetable dish commonly eaten during oshougatsu in Japan and is believed to grant one long-lasting happiness.

  • 120g chicken thigh filet

  • 100g lotus root
  • Konnyaku (Japanese herb jelly)

  • 100mL shiitake liquid
