Join the JASWDC Haiku Club to learn more about one of Japan’s most famous forms of poetry!

Each Haiku Club meeting will feature a discussion of selected haikus from a wide range of poets, from medieval to modern. Guiding the discussion will be Assistant Professor of Japanese Language and Literature at George Washington University, Brendan Morley. We will be delving into the history of the art form and dissecting classical Japanese grammar often utilized in these poems. Participants who write haiku themselves are also encouraged to share their own work for feedback among the group. We hope to see you there!
